Dimapur, June 5 (EMN): Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has condemned the cold blood murder of three youth namely Tateutui Newme, Tia Sangtam and Hon Teron in Dimapur town on June 4 at Golaghat Road.
While mentioning that Dimapur has become a prime city for criminals from outside the state to carry out their criminal activities, NCD on Tuesday expressed alarm over the gruesome crime being committed in Dimapur.
NCD has appealed the district administration and law enforcing agency to leave no stone unturned in arresting the culprit at the earliest and award befitting punishment to the accused according to the law and deliver justice to the bereaved families.
The council has further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members.
In a separate statement, the Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland (ZBN) has vehemently condemned the ‘brutal’ murder of three youth identified as Tateutui Newme, Tia Sangtam, and Hori Teron, on June 4 in Dimapur.
The organisation press release stated that “such monstrous crime committed in the commercial hub has instilled fear psychosis in the mind of peace loving denizens.” The association has endorsed the appeal made by the Zeme Council Dimapur and the Sangtam Union Dimapur demanding the district administration and the law enforcing agency to nab the perpetrators at the earliest and award befitting punishment as per the law of the land.
ZBN has further conveyed condolences to the bereaved families.
In yet another statement, the Zeliang Student’s Union Dimapur (ZSUD) has vehemently condemned the murder of three innocent youth on June 4. The victims were identified as Tateutui Newme of Peren district, Tia Sangtam of Kiphire, and Hori Teron of Karbi Anglong, Assam. The union has conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members. While condemning the incident, the union has urged the law enforcing agencies to book the culprit at the earliest who were still absconding. The union urged all the right thinking citizens to condemn such horrific act.
