Dimapur, Dec. 19: Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church (KLBC) celebrated advent Christmas on December 18 in the church premises on the theme “Serve one another with peace and love.”
Pastor N Silubo Zeliang exhorted the church members to follow the teachings of Christ and to come out voluntarily in serving people and dedicate themselves to serve God by serving people.
The programme was chaired by Er. Achakbo Newmai, deacon, while Namgangbi Chawang, deacon, delivered Christmas greetings. Special highlight of the programme was a play about the birth of Jesus Christ by the women department.
In a related programme, 36 Assam Rifles organised pre Christmas in Athibung town on December 19. The celebration was marked with games and distribution of gifts to the students. Students were also encouraged to keep their body fit and maintain discipline. Assam Rifles also inspired them to join the security forces. Students from
Athibung town and Jalukie Government High School participated in the celebration.
Meanwhile, Administrative Training Institute (ATI) celebrated pre-Christmas on December 19 with the participation of ATI officers and staff alongwith the NCS & NSS Probationers 2015.
The Christmas message was delivered by Dr. Hovithal Sothu, Deputy Director, while the Christmas greetings was said by the Director Lithrongla G Chishi, wherein she exhorted the staff for their conscientiousness and sincerity in performing their duties.
Awards were given to exemplary employees. Special numbers were presented by the staff, NCS and NSS probationers, invocation by Er. Moa Longkumer, Deputy Director, and benediction by Kevekha Kevin Zehol, Additional Director, followed by campfire, entertainment and dinner.
