DIMAPUR — The Chakhro Angami Kuda Youth Organisation (CAKYO) expressed anguish over the murder of a woman from Mhaikam village and the molestation of a woman in a moving auto-rickshaw, committed by two individuals, and stated that it strongly denounced all anti-social activities.
In a statement, while lauding the Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU) for their stand on various issues affecting society, it said that the recent action taken by DNSU regarding the alleged fraudulent acquisition of an indigenous certificate and illegal activities carried out by one Nirmal Jain is highly commendable.

“It holds a larger conspiracy, and CAKYO stands committed to the DNSU's cause. Our state government ought to look into the matter with all seriousness and ensure that justice is done,” it read.
Further, mentioning the alleged assault on a customer at Murgipatti, Dimapur, CAKYO claimed that years ago, a Naga trader/farmer was also assaulted in the same area.
Condemning such instances, CAKYO warned that it will take steps as deemed fit if such incidents reoccur, while at the same time reiterating its stand against illegal taxation.
On the Inner Line Permit (ILP), it said that if there are any fundamental flaws to be rectified in the implementation of ILP in Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland districts, CAKYO urged the concerned authority, department, and government to kindly address them and ensure effective implementation at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the Dimapur Langpangkong Senso Telongjem, while condemning the alleged assault case at Murgipatti, Dimapur, stated that although the case may have been settled amicably between the parties concerned, it will take time to overcome the physical and mental disturbances until the society is freed from such undesirable forces.
