Dimapur, June 11 (EMN): Despite the rain, hundreds of volunteers from Orangkong village turned up to repair the deplorable road from Orangkong village to Lempong junction, Longleng. A mass social work was organized by Orangkong Village Council (OVC) and Orangkong Union Longleng (OUL).
Orangkong Village Council chairman, Chauchei said that they had decided to start repairing the road leading to Longleng from the village as the road had turned from bad to worse condition in the past few days. People, especially students who go to schools in Longleng from village were having a hard time, both in rainy and dry seasons because of the pathetic road condition, he added.He also said members have willingly donated materials and cash for the repairing. Further, he requested the responsible department to do the needful at the earliest for the convenience of all.
