Orangkong Baptist Attoi celebrates its platinum jubilee with leaders highlighting history, peace, and leadership development in Longleng.

DIMAPUR — The Orangkong Baptist Attoi commemorated its platinum jubilee at the Jubilee Convention Hall in Longleng district from December 26 to the 28th on the theme “Jesus Christ, the Lord of history”.
The speakers for the event were N Tialemba Phom, executive secretary of PBCA; Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, general secretary of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC); and Rev. Dr. L Anjo Keikung, former general secretary of NBCC.
A flag-hoisting ceremony was led by Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener. The unveiling of the jubilee monolith was conducted by N Tialemba Phom. N Tialemba Phom, Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, and Rev. Dr. L Anjo Keikung dedicated and opened the jubilee convention hall, invoking God's blessing.
H Leisha Phom, convener of the Jubilee Planning and Organising Team, delivered the welcome address, thanking the 55 Phom community churches and all participants for attending the 75th Platinum Jubilee.

Bukchem Phom, former minister and former chief information commissioner of Nagaland, spoke on "Conflict and peace in Orangkong before and after 1950", highlighting the transformation of the Nagas and Orangkong people towards peace.
Rongsenmeren, pastor of Changtongya Baptist Arogo, extended greetings and shared the story about the first pastor of Orangkong Baptist Church, Imnatsudong Ao’s missionary work.
The guest choirs from Changtongnya Baptist Arogo and Longleng Town Baptist Church performed songs during the programmes.
The jubilee celebrations were attended by A Pongshi Phom, MLA; Bangtick Phom, MLA; W Manpai Phom, deputy commissioner of Longleng; Yanger Jamir, SP Longleng; Chaidok Phom, president of the Phom Gazette Officer Association (PGOA); YB Angam, president of the Phom People’s Council (PPC), and other dignitaries.
Y Alongla Sangtam, NPS, additional SP (Security), spoke on “Women in leadership – achieving an equal future” during a session conducted by the OBA Women’s Ministry.
B Henok Buchem, deputy commissioner of Kohima, spoke on “Youth in leadership – embracing unique gifts and talents” during the session conducted by the OBA Youth Ministry as part of the jubilee convergence programme.
Earlier, the thanksgiving hour with the Changtongnya Baptist Church began with the unveiling of a Mission Station monolith and a prayer at Chaujing Ling (morung) by Rongsenmeren.
The three-day event culminated with a talent extravaganza.
