Dimapur, Jan. 24: Operation Clean Wokha which was launched on the April 25, 2016 is finally out with its first year results. Team Metamorphosis with its implementing partners has been consistently monitoring the implantation of the program from the day it was launched. The final inspection was carried out on the December 4, 2016.
The marks were given on the basis of area of coverage and consistency of efforts rendered by the colony or institution. After necessary assessment by the implementing partners, the final list of the winners for the 2016 Operation Clean Wokha have been declared as follows;
For colonies: Suren colony was adjudged as the best colony followed by Molonsu and Upper Zuvotong colony in second and third place. Rachan colony who won the title the best colony four years ago was considered for a consolation prize.
As for the institutions Mt. Sinai School was adjudged as the best/ cleanest institution followed by Libemo Memorial School (LMS) and Govt. Higher Secondary School for the third place. Isaiah Ability School, Perennial Montessori School and Little Angels School were considered for the consolation prizes because of their efforts and consistency. The prizes will be given on the 26th of January at the Republic day function. The battle for the best institution was very tough as many of the authorities share the vision for a better earth. Operation Clean Wokha is a program which will be carried for at least four years.
These winners have emerged as champions from among the 27 (twenty seven) colonies and more than 30 (thirty) schools and higher secondary schools.
