Open Wrestling Meet on Dec 26

EMN Dimapur, December 23 The Ze-Naki Youth Society of Jakhama Village will be conducting an Open Wrestling Meet on December 26 at Ze-Naki Ground, Jakhama village with Kevipodi Sophie, Dy. Director of Rural Development as the chief guest. The wrestling meet would include both senior and junior of which the participants are to be 15 years and below for junior category. Phieda (traditional game) competition will also be held on January 3. Phieda is a common and famous traditional friendly game amongst the Tenyimia Nagas of which it is mostly conducted during the month of December and January. The Phieda competition is organised to build better understanding, peace and unity within the community and it is conducted right after Sekrenyi festival. The organising committee has requested all its members and well wishers to be part of the meet and Phieda competition.
