Dimapur, Oct. 15 (EMN): The Peren district task force (DTF), after much deliberation on the need to start non-Covid essential services, has decided to resume OPD and other essential services at Community Health centre (CHC), Jalukie.
Besides the Covid hospital, the AINE Nursing Home will cater to indoor patients and delivery points will continue at Samziuram and Mhainamtsi sub-centres.
These decisions were taken during the DTF meeting on October 13 held at the deputy commissioner (DC) chamber in New Peren under the chairmanship of DC Sentiwapang Aier, an update from DIPR informed.
During the meeting, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Lanuakum presented the present scenario and activities being undertaken including contact tracing.
Due to lack of funding, utilisation of Centre Point Hotel for medical staff quarantine in Jalukie could not be continued for which Dr. Hedungkiebe and Extra Assistant Commissioner C Wangan have been entrusted to find alternative arrangement at the earliest.
The DTF members have been directed to issue advisories to all concerned village authorities and wards chairmen for immediate reporting on arrival of those who have bypassed the screening process and ensure that existing SOP is adhered to.
The house nominated SDO Kemciyile as the officer in-charge of Covid-19 in Peren district and entrusted her to look out for additional Covid care centre at New Peren area, as a part of preparedness to face any eventuality.
With regard to the market congestion in Jalukie town, Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tinojongshi Chang has been entrusted to check that SOP is being followed.
The DTF also notified that free Covid-19 test will be done on case-to-case basis and random free test shall not be provided to any institution in the district. In this connection, the sub-committee for non-covid hospital was directed to work out the modalities at the earliest.
