Dimapur, June 3 (EMN): Chinese tech giant OnePlus is set to unveil its newest midrange android smartphone next week in India — the Nord CE 5G.

The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 750G chipset and pack a triple rear camera setup. The smartphone is scheduled to launch in India on June 11 via pre-orders.

The design is reportedly similar to the original OnePlus Nord and it will have a plastic build and no alert-slider. This choice in design could make the launch price of the Nord CE 5G lower than its predecessor.

The CE in Nord CE 5G stands for "Core Edition" and the Chinese company is focused on delivering AMOLED, 5G and high refresh tech to its midrange lineup.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G is expected to have a 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED touchscreen with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 750G chipset and run OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box.

On the rear, the device will feature a triple camera system: one 64MP main sensor from Omnivision, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera will be a 16 MP shooter for selfies.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G is expected to come in two RAM/storage versions: 6/64GB and 8/128GB. It will also come with a 4,500 mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge fast charging support.

The company has confirmed through teasers that the upcoming device will have a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5G is expected to be priced at around INR 24,999.
