Diphu, Aug. 19 (EMN): In an unfortunate accident, one person was killed in an elephant attack at Akasiganga near Lakhi camp under Daboka police station within the jurisdiction of Daboka reserve forest along NH-29 on Thursday.
According to police information, the incident occurred around 6 am, when the victim, Bidyaram Engti (22), of Men Terang village under Dokmoka police station was heading to Ulukunchi, west Karbi Anglong from his village. It was informed that the wild elephant suddenly attacked him at Akasiganga near Lakhi camp. Soon after, the police personnel took the victim to nearby Daboka Community Health Centre where the doctor declared him death.
