Dimapur, May 30 (EMN): The Anti Extortion Team (AET) of Dimapur police on May 30 arrested one suspected member of NSCN-U for extortion.
The accused has been identified as Zhekato Swu (35) and resident of Imkonglenden colony, Dimapur. The accused was stated to be a Raja Peyu and in-charge of Walford colony. He was arrested while demanding cash from a mason sub-contractor engaged for construction at Walford colony, police report stated.
One copy of demand/assignment letter issued in the name of NSCN-U was also recovered from his possession. Police reported stated that a suo-motto case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is on.
