During the brief session, Chief Minister TR Zeliang tabled the Nagaland Secretariat (Civil) Stenographers Service Rule 2015, and the last four years’ Annual Reports of the Nagaland Public Service Commission. The 89th Report of the Committee on Government Assurances (2nd session of 12th NLA) was presented to the House by MLA Neiphrezo Keditsu, member of the Committee (2015-16).
Governor’s assent to three government bills were also presented during the session- The Nagaland Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishment) Bill 2014, The Nagaland State Legislature Members (Removal of Disqualification) First Amendment Bill 2015, and The Nagaland Appropriation (No.8) Bill 2015.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister TR Zeliang made obituary reference on late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, former President of India who passed away on July 27; late Gen. (Retd) VK Nayar, former Governor of Nagaland who passed away on November 30; and late Khekiho Zhimomi, former minister and serving MP Rajya Sabha who passed away on November 26; while NLA Speaker Chotisuh Sazo made the obituary reference on the passing away of former members of the House- late Bongnao, late LJ Toshi Sangtam and late T Sentichuba. The members of the House also observed two-minute silence in respect of the departed leaders.
The proceedings took just about half an hour and Speaker Sazo adjourned the House sine-die.
