Dimapur, Feb. 23: The Bhandari police have arrested a person named Ashish Rai with 142 cases of Indian-made foreign liquor worth approximately INR 4 lakh, on Thur. Feb. 21 at Bhandari in Wokha district. This was reported by Bhandari police station Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Yambemo Humtsoe.
The SDPO informed that the arrest was made when personnel of Bhandari police station at a check gate stopped a vehicle bearing registration number ML-04 B 5588, at around 6.30 pm. The arrested person, said to be a resident of Tsumang colony in Wokha town, was said to be transporting the liquor from Merapani to Wokha.
