One arrested with banned drugs

Dimapur, June 12 (EMN): Kohima police personnel manning Peducha police check gate recovered 200 tablets of Yaba (banned drug) from the possession of one Jahangir (35) of Mantri Pokhri village in Imphal West on June 11.
Police personnel recovered the banned drugs concealed in 108 packets from a Mahindra XUV bearing registration no. MN04P 1349, while conducting routine checking of vehicles. The vehicle was proceeding to Guwahati from Imphal, PRO Kohima police stated in a press release.
Driver of the vehicle identified as Jahangir was taken into custody and a regular case under NDPS Act has been registered for investigation, it added.
