Dimapur, Oct. 3 (EMN): Old Showuba held a talk on ‘A path to self-reliance’ with Neichute Doulo, CEO of Entrepreneur Associates (EA), on October 3 at Showuba Baptist Church, Dimapur.
“There is no substitute for hard work and honesty is still the best policy,” said Neichute Doulo in his speech to a large gathering. He also encouraged the Naga people especially the unemployed youth and women folk to take up farming and other agri/horti related activities as a business venture in the land.
Stressing on dignity of labour, he said one should not be ashamed of starting business with humble beginning, adding with hard work and sincerity one will surely achieve success and uplift the economy of our people. He also expessed concern on the influx of Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants (IBIs) into Nagaland especially in Dimapur and the danger they posed to the uplift of our economy as well as to the existence of the Naga society.
The seminar chaired by Yankiumong Yimchunger, began with an invocation prayer by Rev. Tochumong, pastor of SBC. K Janger, VCC of Old Showuba, delivered the welcome address followed by presentations led by Achen Imchen, Managing Director of Els International.
A short speech was delivered by Vitho Zao, VCC of Kacharigaon, Phevima. The resource speaker also talked on a path to self-reliance which was followed by a business session.
