Officers' Club Kiphire hosts Open Kiphire District Marathon promoting communal harmony, health, and peace.

DIMAPUR — The Officers' Club Kiphire organised the Open Kiphire District Marathon from Delux Point to 14 Assam Rifles Junction on Thursday on the theme "Communal harmony".
The marathon was organised to encourage community participation and promote peace, unity, healthy living, and harmony across communities under the slogans "Different communities, one goal, a stronger Kiphire" and "Run for Health, Run for Unity, Run for a Better Kiphire", according to a DIPR report.
The competition included separate categories for men, women, and boys’ U-14. First, second, and third place finishers in all categories were awarded cash prizes of INR 10,000, INR 8,000, and INR 5,000, respectively. Additionally, 20 consolation prizes of INR 1,000 each were given in the men's and women's categories, alongside five consolation prizes of INR 1,000 in the boys' U-14 section.
In the men's category, Asobojans secured first position, followed by Lenshethong in second and T Sorite Yim in third. In the women's category, Chimmushe, Yanrushe, and Avila took the first, second, and third positions, respectively.
In the boys' U-14 category, Khadili TT, Muile, and Lumthingba finished in the top three positions. The organisers also presented a cash prize of INR 2,000 to nine-year-old Munase as the youngest finisher.
