Dimapur, Aug. 19 (EMN): In compliance to the government order dated August 18 and in continuation to its earlier notification dated August 2, the Dimapur commissioner of police Rothihu Tetseo informed that essential movement of all vehicles within Dimapur district would continue to ply in odd-even system from August 19 till September 2.
He stated that vehicles with registration number ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 would be allowed to ply on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while vehicles with registration number ending in 2, 4, 6, 8, and 0 would be allowed to ply on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
He further warned that violation of the order would be penalised under section 177 and 179 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988. Informing that the exempt category would continue as earlier, he asked all officers and staff in the exempt category to carry identity cards issued by respective HoD.
