Kohima, August 27 (EMN): Public of Nyiro range comprising of seven villages under Wokha district have officially launched a common public forum with the nomenclature ‘Nyiro Range Public Organisation’ (NRPO) on August 26 at Government High School in Nyiro Yanthamo village.
NRPO seasonal chairman, Yankhosao Ezung, speaking during the launching programme said, Nyiro range public have felt the need to have a common platform in order to have a peaceful coexistence, unity and ushering friendship among the seven villages.
Highlighting the objectives of the organisation, Ezung assured that the organisation would work towards economic the uplift to usher in development among the seven sister villages.
He further clarified that the organisation doesn’t have any political agenda and will not be pressurised to work on political interest unlike other organisations.
While observing that Nyiro range/area is one of the most undeveloped areas under Wokha district in respect of link roads or any other governmental infrastructure, he appealed the area public in general for more cooperation to work for the future prospects.
The launching programme was attended by more than 1500 participants from the 10 units including Nyiro range chairman union, Nyiro Range GBs union, Nyiro Range VDB secretaries, Nyiro Range Officers’ Union, Nyiro Range Students’ Union, Nyiro Range Youth Organisation, Wokha Town Nyiro Range Union, Kohima Town Nyiro Range Union and Dimapur Area Nyiro Range union.
