Imphal, May 15 (EMN): The Naga Women’s Union (NWU) has denounced in the strongest term the murder of Lunglailu Rongmei who was found murdered at her home on May 5 at Chingmeirong Mamang Leikai.
Crime against women is on the rise in a place that was once considered safe for women. Such heinous act is no longer exception but becoming more and more frequent, added NWU.
NWU called upon the concerned agency to deliver justice at the earliest possible and the culprits should be awarded befitting punishment according to the law of the land as preventive measure for the future.
NWU expressed deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Lunglailu and pray that God’s grace will carry them through this painful journey.
