NWA announces wrestlers list

Dimapur, Nov. 5 (EMN): Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) has announced list of wrestlers for the forthcoming 12th International Hornbill Naga Wrestling Championship 2018 to be conducted on December 4 at Amphitheatre, Naga Heritage Village, Kisama. According to a press statement issued by NWA general secretary, Vekhozo, the championship inaugural function would be grace by Pele Khezhie, president of Nagaland Taekwondo Association and convenor of Northeast Taekwondo Association, as the special guest. It stated that the championship would be conducted in two categories - professional and amateur and tourist category. Under professional category, the three NWA constituent units viz Angami Sports Association (ASA), Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA), and Zeliang Wrestling Association (ZA) should send their eight best wrestlers each for the championship. The outside state wrestling association namely Senapati District Wrestling Association, Manipur, should sent equal number of wrestlers for competition in professional category.
