Dimapur, Dec. 14: The Tseminyu unit of the Nagaland Voluntary Consumers Organization (NVCO) has accused the directorate of Health and Family Welfare of committing a “blunder mistake” while preparing the name list for enrolment to the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna (RSBY) for Tseminyu town.
The NVCO unit issued a press release on Wednesday.
“The NVCO Tseminyu Unit is totally against the blunder mistake committed by the directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Nagaland while preparing the name list for enrolment for Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna (RSBY) under Tseminyu town,” it stated.
“Whereas, under Tseminyu town there are more than 1500 households. However, on 14/12/2016 the enrolment party came for enrolment for RSBY but to the utter surprised there were hardly 20-25 household names were listed only.”
The NVCO alleged that the citizens were informed that “unless their names are listed in the list no other can be enrolled.”
Therefore, it stated, “many citizen who were enrolled in the previous years came with their RSBY card but that too was of no help. The citizens of the Tseminyu town are in chaos with much tension prevailing,” the NVCO asserted.
“Out of curiosity some of the citizen cross checked the enrolment list of Tseminyu village and there, it was found out that the citizens of Tseminyu town are enlisted in Tseminyu village,” the press release stated.
The NVCO Tseminyu has demanded clarifications from the department to the following queries: who prepared the list for enrolment to the RSBY for Tseminyu sub-division; whether the authority knows that Tseminyu town and Tseminyu village are two different places.
“The authority should initiate appropriate action against the responsible officer for such blunder mistake. The concerned authority should fix another date for enrolment for Tseminyu town with corrected list for the benefit of the citizen,” the press release added.
