Dimapur,March 5 (EMN):Nagaland University Teachers’ Association (NUTA) announced closure of all Nagaland University academic departments in the four campuses of Lumami, Kohima campus Meriema, SASRD Medziphema, and School of Engineering in Dimapur campus on March 6 in solidarity with Federation of Central Universities Teachers Association (FCUTA).
In a joint statement, NUTA president, Prof. Rosemary Dzuvichu, and secretary general, Prof. D Kuolie, stated that the closure has been necessitated to demand for an ordinance for the 200 point reservation roster in all central universities and colleges in the country.
It added that there would be total bandh of academic work to register protest of teachers against the present reservation roster.
