Dimapur, March 6 (EMN): Health Nursing School (HNS) located at Singrijan in Dimapur celebrated its 9th lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony on March 5 at its multi-purpose hall.
The significance of the programme was highlighted by nursing tutot Mongsentola, which was followed with the welcome address delivered by its principal, Kewekhate-u Dazo. The students of Health Nursing School presented a song, which was followed with the lamp lighting ceremony, an update from the school stated.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest and chief medical officer (CMO) of Dimapur, Dr. I Moatemjen Jamir, exhorted the students with words of wisdom. He also shared about the lamp lighting and capping day- the lamp to keep burning brighter as time goes by.
He also advised the students against inculcating ego and never to feel shy for help. He further encouraged the students to be truthful to their calling.
The school managing director, Wangshikokla Jamir, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was attended by managing team, parents, guardians, well wishers, students, teaching and non teaching staff of the school.
