Dimapur, August 31 (EMN): Nagaland University Kohima Campus, Meriema organised its 26th Fresher’s Meet on August 30 at RCEMPA Hall Jotsoma under the theme “Transcending new horizons” with Alemyapang Longchar SDO, Civil Jakhama Kohima & Prof. R.C. Gupta Pro-Vice Chancellor as the chief guest and guest of honor respectively.
Speaking at the programme, Longchar congratulated all the freshers for attaining a new stage in life. Stating that the beginning of the college life is a very important stage, he encouraged them to diligently pursue their goals in life. In this competitive world, he said one must give their best in everything they do so that they reap the fruits in future.
Prof. Gupta said “ideas doesn’t need any language, you just have to feel it. To see where your idea is going one must try and if you cannot try, run, and if you cannot run, walk and if you cannot walk, crawl.” He also encouraged the students to be positive and developed their personality and never gives up on their motto.
In the afternoon session, Suchamayang Kichu, Freelance Photographer and member of Persona-International; Sunep Oz, Musician, Founder of Oztronic Music Festival, Support Gig; Mengu Suokhrie, Artist; Narola Chuba Asst. Prof. NU (KC) were judges for Mr. and Miss NUSU contest.
Chongrokhum Sangtam and Kalivi Chishi were adjusted as Mr. and Miss Freshers respectively.
