Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, Dimapur, organises inaugural programme of ‘Jobs in Germany.’

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Dimapur, organised an inaugural programme of ‘Jobs in Germany’ (JIG) for the first batch of 22 candidates on January 12.
The JIG initiative is implemented under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on December 15, 2025, between the Government of Nagaland, through the NTTC Dimapur, and Jobs-in-Germany GmbH, an update stated.
Delivering the keynote address, P Tokugha Sema, Director of Industries & Commerce, and CEO of NTTC Dimapur, highlighted the Government of Nagaland’s vision for international skill mobility.

He urged the students to approach the opportunity with discipline, responsibility, and commitment, stressing that German language learning is foundational to long-term success. Sema also reminded the students that they represent Nagaland and India on the global platform.
Achim Rodewald, India Representative for Jobs-in-Germany GmbH, briefed the students on German work culture and emphasised the importance of German language proficiency up to B1 level as a key requirement for visa and employment.
He acknowledged the role of Bharat Forge Ltd. in supporting the collaboration and highlighted the strong potential of Naga youth in the global workforce.
Petehetuo Miasalhou, Principal of NTTC Dimapur, in his welcome address, congratulated the selected candidates and expressed gratitude to the dignitaries for their continued support and commitment towards youth employment and skill development in Nagaland.
Sharing the industry perspective, Chizuknok Longkumer, State Head, CII Nagaland, described the initiative as a significant opportunity for the youth of the state, particularly for those seeking meaningful and dignified employment abroad.
The formal session was chaired by P Sorenthung Kithan, Programme Manager (JIG), NTTC, Dimapur. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Imnayanger Imchen, Assistant General Manager, NTTC Dimapur.
“The Jobs in Germany (JIG) initiative marks a major step in laying structured pathways for Naga youth to pursue sustainable employment in Germany and reinforces NTTC’s commitment to creating a skilled workforce that meets international standards and excels in the global job market,” the update stated.
