Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre signs MoU to enhance employability of Nagaland youth.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Dimapur, and Cyient Foundation, Hyderabad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Cyient Foundation head office, Hyderabad, to strengthen skill development and employability initiatives for the youth of Nagaland.
The MoU was signed by P Tokugha Sema, Director of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, and Chief Executive Officer of NTTC, and Krishna Mohan Deevi, Senior Director & Head-CSR, an update stated.
The MoU seeks to establish a partnership, where Cyient Foundation will extend support through knowledge partnership, technical expertise, and implementation guidance, and NTTC will act as the on-ground training and execution partner, leveraging its established infrastructure and experience in vocational and technical education.
The partnership aims to enhance institutional capacity of NTTC through technology-enabled, industry-relevant, and future-oriented training programmes. Key areas of collaboration include vocational and technical skill development, exposure to emerging technologies, capacity building of trainers, and employability-focused skilling initiatives aligned with industry needs.

As part of this engagement, the Nagaland delegation led by Tokugha Sema, along with other officials visited several strategic facilities of Cyient Ltd., including the Design-Led Manufacturing (DLM) Plant, Cyient Urban Micro Skill Centre, and the Cyient Experience Centre, gaining first-hand exposure to advanced manufacturing practices, skill development models, and industry-driven training ecosystems.
The delegation also visited IIT Hyderabad, where interactions were held at the Technology Incubation Park, Technology Research Park, and TIHAN (Technology Innovation Hub on Autonomous Navigation).
“These visits provided valuable insights into innovation-led education, research-driven skill development, startup incubation, and industry–academia collaboration,” the update stated.
In addition, the team held meetings with NGOs and corporate foundations to explore potential partnerships and funding collaborations aimed at strengthening infrastructural facilities of NTTC for skill development, institutional sustainability, and inclusive growth initiatives for the youth.
“The collaboration, through this agreement made, marks a significant milestone in fostering industry–institution synergy and reflects a shared commitment towards empowering the youth with relevant, future-ready skills, thereby enhancing employment opportunities and contributing to the state’s long-term socio-economic development,” it added.
