DIMAPUR — The founding members of Nagaland
Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organisation
(NTPRADAO)—Phemching Konyak (president), Zuchamo Patton (vice president), Ikato
Sumi (secretary general), Keduta Chakesang (general secretary), Temjen Mar
(secretary) and Albert Kire (secretary)—expressed "deep shock and
dismay" over the impeachment of certain members and the induction of new
ones into the organisation without due process.
In a press statement, the founding members stated that they
firmly reiterate they are the legitimate executive members of NTPRADAO, having
collectively built the organisation since its inception on May 31, 2023,
through unwavering dedication and immense hardship.
Calling it unacceptable for any individual to
single-handedly attempt to run the organisation while engaging in unethical
practices, they questioned Bill Lotha for his alleged repeated involvement in
dubious activities, including the "unauthorised induction of members, the
unjust impeachment of others, and the baseless accusations against departments
and founding members”.
“Moreover, his misuse of the founding members’ names and
forged signatures is not only unethical but also illegal. We call upon him to
step forward, disclose his true identity, and prove his legitimacy as a bona
fide member of NTPRADAO through a public appearance on a credible news channel.
Hiding behind anonymity and using various pseudonyms to manipulate and mislead
is unacceptable and undermines the integrity of our organisation,” it read.
Furthermore, they urged the newly elected president, Mhabemo
Lotha, to publicly reveal his identity and provide clarity regarding his
position.
"Transparency and accountability are critical to maintaining
public trust, and we demand that both Bill Lotha and Mhabemo Lotha address
these matters openly and responsibly," they added.
Stating that the founding members of NTPRADAO remain
committed to the principles upon which the organisation was established, they
said they will not tolerate actions that jeopardise its reputation or the
collective efforts of its founding team and cautioned the group not to use the
organisation's name henceforth.
