- DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Transparency, Public
Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organisation (NTPRADAO) has extended
"unflinching support" to the Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination
Committee (NFHRCC), the Dimapur-based tribal hohos, and the Young Nagas Action
Committee for Foothills Road regarding the two-lane road construction project.
- The concerned organisations have set a four-day deadline for
the government to issue the work order.
- In a press release, NTPRADAO stated that the Nagaland
Foothills Road project is "one of its kind in the entire region, uniquely
conceptualised" and a "dream project for the Naga people at
large," aimed at safeguarding socio-economic efficiency at all times.

- NTPRADAO expressed surprise that despite INR 148.05 crore
being sanctioned for the enhancement of the Foothill Road project under the
head of Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment, the work order
remains pending, causing unreasonable delays during the ideal working season
for road construction.
