Dimapur, Aug. 28 (EMN): Nagaland tribes council (NTC) is perturbed by the reports of some elements creating disturbance to the smooth progress of ongoing Dimapur – Kohima four lane highways.
It has viewed the report with all seriousness and considered as a threat to the basic life and development since the highway is the only lifeline connecting Nagaland with the rest of the world. It added that Naga people cannot afford to compromise with its quality workmanship and timely completion.
NTC media cell stated that the executive director of NHIDCL had assured them that 25% of the work would be completed by the end of 2018 adding the project would be accomplished by the end of 2019 and accordingly specific instructions were given to the contractors at various intervals.
In the light of the above stated circumstances, NTC urged the state government and the NHIDCL to immediately intervene and book the culprits so that the work could continue without hindrances.
NTC also requested the public in the locality to extend all possible cooperation during this crucial period.
