Dimapur, July 14 (EMN): The Naga Tribe Council (NTC) is dismayed by the unbecoming behaviour of the elected leaders taking the people for a ride beyond reasonable limit.
The NTC maintained that the primary duty of the elected Government is to ensure peace, harmony and security for the citizens of the state and when people reposed faith in each elected member of the Assembly, the reciprocity from those members is to sincerely deliver goods to their citizens.
On the contrary, NTC said the prevailing crisis in the NPF lead Ministry has immense adverse impact on the citizens of the state, not by anti-social elements but the law makers are creating uncertainties and anti-people activities in our land without justifiable reasons.
“The repeated political upheavals erupted at the intervals is just because of personal greed in unchristian and unethical. The creation of opposing camps to up-stage each other for mere personal gains has brought shame to the people of Nagaland” the press release issued NTC Media Cell stated.
Judging the integrity of the present MLAs, the NTC said they are found to be immature, fragile and unfit to continue occupying honourable chairs. “They are more comfortable to live in their respective camps than honorably deliver goods to the people from their chairs” the press release added.
The NTC strongly felt that the present members have lost interest to govern the state stably, and asserted that it is unsafe to allow those disoriented lot to continue handling the affairs of the state. Further, the NTC urged upon the concerned authority to either restore the parliamentary democracy or to take it to the people for a fresh mandate.
