Dimapur, Jan. 29 (EMN): Nagaland Tribes Action Committee (NTAC) has announced to hold a memorial monument dedication programme of the two Naga youth who laid down their lives during the crisis in connection with the ULB election 2017 on January 31 at 11 a.m.
The memorial monument was constructed under the initiative and supervision of JCC and NTAC, Kohima, in memory of the two slain Naga youth in connection with the crisis that erupted during the Naga people’s resistance on conduct of ULB election 2017 in Nagaland. The dedication programme would coincide with the first death anniversary.
NTAC media cell stated that the monument would immortalise the supreme sacrifices made by late Khriesavizo Metha and the late Bendangnungsang Longkumer in defence of the people’s right. The memorial monument has been constructed in the heart of Kohima town at the Old Secretariat complex now befittingly called the Martyrs’ Memorial Park and being dedicated to the people for paying constant tribute in all time to come, it stated.
NTAC has requested all concerned tribal representatives and public to attend the programme positively.
