Dimapur, Feb. 10: Stating that JCC and NTAC was formed to address the cause of Nagas for a better future and not base on any personal interest, NTAC Media Cell today reaffirmed support on the leadership of Supu Jamir and KT Vilie.
NTAC Media Cell today issued a statement in responds to the statement of S Hukavi Zhimomi, parliamentary secretary of Science & Technology and Jail, accusing the leadership of JCC and NTAC which appeared in some sections of the local dailies.
While reaffirming its support on the leadership of Supu Jamir and KT Vilie, it said JCC and NTAC was formed to address the cause of the Nagas for a better future and not based on any personal interest. It added that the JCC and NTAC was not formed on tribal/ political lines but fully endorsed by the Naga tribal bodies to pursue the rights of the Nagas.
While testifying that JCC convenor Supu Jamir and the NTAC convenor KT Vilie are capable, efficient and leaders with high integrity, the Media Cell termed it unfortunate that the parliamentary secretary had made baseless and unfounded allegations on their leadership.
‘As a leader of the public, you must realise that allegations on our leaders is also an attack on the organisation and the Naga people as a whole. As far as your statement on the flow of liquor in the towns of Dimapur and Kohima is concerned, you as a leader being aware of such activities under your nose, appropriate measures could have been taken accusing dedicated leaders,’ the statement added.
Media Cell further stated that it was demeaning of the parliamentary secretary to accuse its leaders of “Talibanisation of our land where mafia with money power is trying to rule the state.” Accusing him of not fully conversant with law, it said mudslinging its leaders only demonstrated his ignorance, immaturity and narrow mindedness.
