NSUP launches its website

[caption id="attachment_266473" align="aligncenter" width="600"] NSUP officials and other guests during freshers' orientation cum website launching programme on August 12.[/caption] Dimapur, Aug. 18 (EMN): Naga Students' Union Phagwara (NSUP) organised a freshers' orientation cum website launching programme on August 12. The website www.nsuppunjab.org was inaugurated by Tiaakum Ozukum, pastor of Christian Fellowship Jalandhar as special guest. Pele George, advisor NSUP and assistant professor in Lovely Professional University, also addressed the freshers and urged them to make maximum use of the facilities provided by the university. He further encouraged them to take active roles and responsibility and to put God first in all walks of life, stated an update from its information secretary, Asivi Nagi. Chaired by Netanya W Khayi, NSUP assistant general secretary, the programme began with a welcome address by its assistant sports secretary Tovikali Chophy followed by introductory session of the NSUP executives, advisory board and the freshers. Krosu Hiesuh, NSUP president, expressed desire for driving forward with emphasis on becoming better together as a unit and as individuals in the future. Briefing on design of the website and its need was explained by its general secretary Er. Ketusezo Rote. The NSUP website would facilitate quick connectivity amongst the members and to the outside world to understand the working of the union as well as a platform for a look into the lives of Naga students studying in Phagwara. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by its vice president Imkososang Jamir. Other special guests included Rinlungso Zimik, president of North East Organisation Jalandhar (NESOJ), and representatives from Manipur Students' Union Phagwara (MSUP).
