Dimapur, Nov. 9 (EMN): Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd. Has organised financial literacy awareness on cooperatives in association with ARCS, Peren, at Jalukie on November 7. Zamdi Domta, Board Director for Peren district, spoke on the importance of having good relationship with the bank by way of deposits and recovery of loan in time. He urged the cooperative societies to revive themselves into a profit making societies and avail various scheme available with the government. Bisinle, ARCS Peren, spoke on cooperative movement in Nagaland, cluster farming, organic farming etc. She also advised the cooperative societies to maintain proper books of accounts for which the department is providing various training at CTC Medziphema. She also encouraged having cooperative society in each village for better coverage and to uplift the economy rural people. VK Disong, Manager (FIC), spoke on how the societies should maintain their books of accounts, mandatories and importance of holding annual general meeting. He urged the societies to revive themselves into a profit making societies. Thenuvisa Luho, senior manager, chaired the function and also delivered the vote of thanks, while the keynote address was delivered by N Ramwang Chewang, DGM (Cr and Rvy).
