
Dimapur, July 21 (EMN): A new Nagaland State Transport (NST) day service bus from Zunheboto to Dimapur via Kohima was launched by the advisor of School Education and SCERT, KT Sukhalu, in Zunheboto town on July 21.
Speaking at the launch event, Sukhalu thanked and appreciated the concerned minister, Paiyang Konyak, for sincerely acknowledging the need of the district and making it into a reality. He also lauded the president of Sumi Kükami Hoho, Kashito Yeputhomi, and his colleagues for realising the much required need of the society and eventually making the project possible. He added that the district must remain obliged for the concerns of Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, for all the districts, stated a DIPR report.
The advisor appealed to the department for proper maintenance and also urged upon the public to always treat the property as our own in order to prolong its services to the public.
Short speeches were delivered by president of NDPP Zunheboto region, Khehoshe H Yeptho, and chairman of GBs’ Union Zunheboto Town (GBUZ), Shihoto Zhimo, wherein they have acknowledged the efforts undertaken by KT Sukhalu and other stakeholders.
The launch programme was chaired by superintendent of NST, Zunheboto, Nixung Aier, who in his concluding remarks, pointed out that passengers from the district should always insist on buying tickets from the counters while travelling stating that it not only adds to the revenue but also work as an insurance for travelers in times of unfortunate incidents or accidents.
