Dimapur, May 12 (EMN): The Nagaland SSA Teachers Association (NSSATA) of Kohima unit reaffirmed its support for the ongoing 2nd phase agitation.
The unit has expressed dismay and disappointment at the lackadaisical attitude of the government towards the genuine problems of the SSA teachers of 2010 and 2013 batch.
A press release from the unit president and general secretary stated that ‘the unit fails to understand why the teachers have to face humiliations, time and again, from their own department and state government.’
Pointing out that the SSA 2010 and 2013 batches were appointed as regular teachers according to the advertisement was clear and were entitled to all the benefits as other state employees, the unit said mentioned batch have been denied of their rights on grounds unknown.
“We have suffered enough and are ready to fight for what’s rightfully ours,” the unit stated.
The unit also reminded its members to adhere to the directives given and to be mentally and physically prepared for any action as and when deemed necessary.
Further, it also appealed for support from NGOs, students’ body and the general public in the fight against injustice.
