Dimapur, March 17 (EMN): Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) has organised a financial literacy camp in Viyito village under Niuland sub-division on March 14. The programme was organised in collaboration with the State Bank of India (SBI), Niuland Branch.
Atokhe Aye has encouraged the NSRLM Self Help Groups (SHGs) to work hard for uplift of their economic growth. Also to the bankers, he encouraged to open doors to the SHG so that they might avail all the credit facilities.
Akumla Aier, BDO Niuland Block, asked the village councils to encourage the women folk to take part in NSRLM Self Help Group. She also encouraged the SHGs to be sincere in their works to achieve development.
Also speaking on the occasion, M Yimok Phom, ADPM DRDA, asked the SHGs to be united and maintain transparency among their own groups in order to eradicate poverty.
Niuland SBI Branch Manager, Imtiwapang, shared on the need for every individual to open saving bank account. He encouraged the villagers to use SBI Quick app which is easy to download, simple and quick way to get balance and mini statement of account through mobile phone. He also shared about different documents required for SHGs account opening and the need for PAN Card and Aadhar card.
The programme began with invocation prayer said by Eden SHG member and ended with the vote of thanks delivered by the village council secretary.
