DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) commenced a three-day workshop on the integration of Annual Action Plans (AAP) for FY 2026–27 under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) on Monday in Kohima.
According to an update, the workshop is being attended by participants from all district and block mission management units.
In his keynote address, Moa Sangtam, joint secretary, Rural Development, and mission director, NSRLM, expressed pride that NSRLM is making an impact at the grassroots and has empowered women self-help groups (SHGs) in leading rural prosperity across Nagaland.
He underscored the efficiency of the mission team in nurturing the SHGs while also highlighting the need to disengage non-performing staff of the mission as a priority. As DAY-NRLM enters its new phase, he encouraged the team to ensure a smooth transition and align the state mission’s goal with NRLM 2.0.
M Rollan Lotha, chief operating officer, appreciated the collective effort of the NSRLM team over the last 13 years. He mentioned that the readiness condition for NRLM 2.0 implementation in Nagaland is conducive.
He added that the perspective goal for the next five years will be on communitising key verticals of DAY-NRLM, with community institutions taking the lead on leadership, inclusion, social action, livelihoods, enterprise development, and financial literacy, contributing towards the Viksit Bharat 2047 goal.
The state thematic leads for IBCB, SISD, Financial Inclusion, Farm Livelihoods, Non-Farm Livelihoods, and M&E and MIS presented their respective key focus areas.
The workshop is being led and coordinated by Imonenla Imkong Phom, state programme manager, M&E Division, SMMU. In her introductory note, she highlighted that the planning workshop will help in shaping a people-centric, inclusive, and sustainable NRLM 2.0.
