Dimapur, March 5 (EMN): Kiphire district legal services authority (KDLSA) has organised the NSLSA theme song competition and legal literacy session on child’s rights for the legal literacy club members of Kiphire district at Hopongkyu memorial hall, Kiphire town, on February 26.
Altogether, five legal literacy club (LLC) schools namely Cambridge High School Kiphire, EL-Beth High School Kiphire, Saramati High School Kiphire, Agape High School Kiphire, and Government High School, Phelungre, have participated in the competition.
In the competition, EL-Beth High School won the first prize, while Agape High School backed the second prize and Cambridge High school received third prize.
Speaking on the child’s rights, the resource person and panel lawyer, Hotingkiu, urged the students to know their basic rights and laws such as juvenile justice act, right to education and protection of children from domestic violence act.
A total of 88 students and five teacher in-charge of legal literacy clubs (LLC) attended the programme. It concluded with a benediction said by Yutsala, para legal
volunteer.
