Dimapur, Jan. 29: The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), while welcoming any form of developmental initiatives, was concerned by the unfortunate situations surfacing since the last few days and which could rather have been averted or addressed.
In regard to election for the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections, the Federation asked the government to consider and relate to the suggestions of all the stakeholders through meticulous consultation and conduct the elections through consensus. The NSF, considering the mass opposition on the conduct of the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections in the State by the Naga Hoho and various tribal organisations in its present form, appealed to the government to address the objections raised by the tribal organisations.
NSF president, Subenthung Kithan and the assistant general secretary, Kesosul Christopher Ltu, urged upon the various mass based organisations to register their resentment in a peaceful manner and refrain from resorting to violent protest.
