Kohima, Oct 23 (EMN): Mhakenyi Kro-u FC and Morning Football Association on Saturday won their respective matches at the ongoing 21st NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy 2021 at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) in Kohima.
Playing the first match, Mhakenyi Kro-u FC out-classed Capital College of Higher Education 11-0, wherein the first goal was scored by Zawlthanglien in the 8th minute, followed by Yhunshalo scoring subsequent goals in the 27th, 40th minutes, 45th, 52nd, 53rd, 69th minutes and 70th minutes.
Meanwhile, Vekhruto, Lalminlun and Ngusalie also scored a goal each for the team in the 41st, 43rd and the 67th minutes.
The second match was played between Morning Football Association (MFA) and 12 United Tribe FC, wherein Morning Football Association outshined its opponent.
It was Seyiekhrietuo Suohu of MFA, who scored two goals for the team in the 35th and 65th minutes, which was equalised by Nahngon Konyak in the 60th and 70th minutes.
With both the teams failing to break the deadlock, the winner of the match was decided through a penalty which favoured MFA 4-1.
