Kohima, Sep. 4 (EMN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has served an ultimatum to the state government to implement the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) within one month, saying that it would be compelled to take up democratic agitation if its concerns were not addressed.

In a letter addressed to the chief secretary of Nagaland, dated September 3, the federation stated that its repeated appeals for implementation of NSSB had failed to evoke any positive response from the government.

“Issue notification that all existing vacancies falling under the purview of NSSB be requisitioned to the board and that vacancies be filled through open examination. Immediately scrap all Departmental Recruitment Boards for recruitment to 'Group C' and that all existing notification for 'Group C' post be retracted," the letter read.

"The Federation, in good faith, request to comply to these demands within a period of one month. Failing to do so shall be compelled to take up befitting actions in the interest of the students and youth community of the state," it added.
