KOHIMA — Mima FC and Asüfü Football Academy both secured victories at IG Stadium in Kohima on the second day of the 23rd NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy hosted by the Angami Students Union (ASU).

In the first match, Mima FC triumphed over Youngster FC with a score of 2-1. Neitho-u Shunyü (13) from Mima FC opened the account in the 14th minute which gave the impetus and confidence for those in the court and the fans.

After halftime, Akhrietuo (17) of Youngster FC leveled the score. However, the decisive goal for Mima FC came in the 75th minute, courtesy of Khriesamhalie Ngukha (7), who was later named the player of the match.

In the second match, Asüfü Football Academy dominated Samaritan FC with an impressive 11-0 victory.

P Sorormi Tningsoang of Asüfü FA won the man of the match award. The win earned Asüfü FA the opportunity to face Sechü FC on September 23, 2023.
