DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) on Thursday directed all its federating units and subordinate bodies to hoist black flags at their respective headquarters (Oking).

The federation in a press communiqué stated that the directive was issued consequent upon the act of vandalising the NSF Oking and the subsequent alleged failure of the authorities concerned to book the perpetrators of the “heinous crime” despite a lapse of five days.

“This is to democratically express our resentment against the inaction of the authorities concerned despite the perpetrators publicly claiming responsibility for the crime. Banners explaining the reason as to why the flag is hoisted should also be put up,” NSF stated.

The federation said the exercise (hoisting of black flags) shall continue until befitting actions are initiated by the authorities against the culprits involved in the “criminal act.”
