DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued rainfall alert for the coming days in the state.
In an update on Wednesday, it informed that Nagaland will experience light to heavy rainfall, which is expected to be fairly widespread.
“Thunderstorm with lightning is expected in the districts of Peren, Dimapur, Niuland, Kohima, Phek, Wokha, Mon, Zunheboto, Mokokchung and Longleng during 10th and 11th of October 2024. However, the rest of the districts may experience partly cloudy light rain till the 15th of October 2024.
“In this regard, NSDMA, Home Department urges the public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities during this period. The NSDMA also requests all the District Disaster Management Authorities and other line departments to be on alert to save lives and properties during this monsoon period,” it stated.
