NSDMA forecasts settled weather across Nagaland from September 23 to 26 with isolated thunderstorms.
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home department, has issued a weather outlook for all districts from September 23 to the 26th, projecting largely settled conditions across the state with localised thunderstorm activity.
According to an NSDMA release, no district is currently under an alert or warning-level advisory during this period.
On September 23, thunderstorms or lightning accompanied by light rain is expected in Chümoukedima, Kohima, Longleng, Mon, Niuland, Noklak, Shamator, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha, and Zunheboto. Dimapur, Mokokchung, Peren, and Phek are likely to experience thunderstorm or lightning activity, while cloudy conditions are expected in Kiphire and Meluri.
For September 24, overcast conditions are likely in Kohima, Mon, Noklak, Tseminyu, and Tuensang, while Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Longleng, Mokokchung, Niuland, and Wokha are expected to experience cloudy skies. No active weather warning has been issued for Kiphire, Meluri, Peren, Phek, Shamator, and Zunheboto.
On September 25, overcast conditions are expected in Mokokchung, while partly cloudy weather is likely across Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Kiphire, Longleng, Mon, Niuland, Noklak, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha, and Zunheboto. Kohima and Meluri have no active weather warnings.
On September 26, thunderstorms and lightning are forecast for Dimapur, Kiphire, and Meluri. Kohima, Longleng, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu, and Wokha are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions, while Chümoukedima, Mokokchung, Mon, Niuland, Noklak, Tuensang, and Zunheboto have no active weather warnings.
