Dimapur, Dec. 9 (EMN): The Nagaland State Disability Forum (NSDF), Salonger, and Saly Sangtam bagged the Samarthya 2017 edition award for excellence in merit for organisation level, art and sports respectively at the Samarthya award ceremony held in New Delhi on Dec. 6 and the 7th.
Saly Sangtam is registered with Grace Society and Salonger with Prodigals’ Home.
According to a press release, the Samarthya award for excellence is an annual event which confers certificate of excellence and cash award to deserving Persons with Disability (PwD) and Disabaled People’s Organization from across the country. The main objective of Samarthya is to spread awareness on disability, showcase the abilities of PwDs and to network with stakeholders.
This year’s edition of the award was organised by Collective Action for Basic Rights Foundation (CBRF) in collaboration with Chetanalaya, New Delhi.
