Dimapur, April 17 (EMN): The Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) paid a visit to the district jail and women cell on April 13 in Tuensang. The team was led by the chairperson of NSCW, Temsula Ao.
In a press release from NSCW informed the commission briefed the district jail inmates and women cell. The visit was made according to the directive of the National Commission for Women in New Delhi to collect first-hand report about the conditions and infrastructure of the jail and women cell in the district.
The commission’s aim and objective of the visit was to see the conditions and status of the district jail and women cell. The commission donated INR 5000 to the jail inmates, it informed.
