Sema of Hoito village, on December 1. In a press statement, it was mentioned that the late official served the 'Nation' with dedication, sincerity, and courage, and that he leaves behind a legacy for all his comrades to cherish.
Hekani Jakhalu inaugurates road
DIMAPUR — Hekani Jakhalu, Advisor for Industries and Commerce, inaugurated a road at East Dimapur, from the Purana Bazar traffic point to the Super Market Dhansari bridge, on November 30. According to an update, Manna Zhimo, Councillor of East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC), chaired the programme. The chairperson of EDTC, Niuto Awomi, delivered the welcome speech, while Vihoshe Z. Awomi, Dimapur Region president of NDPP, gave a short speech. Nivukhu V Jimo, pastor of SBAPB, offered a prayer of blessing.
KVK Zunheboto launches Krishi Samridhi Swarna Week
DIMAPUR — In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in India, KVK Zunheboto, Nagaland University, launched Krishi Samridhi Swarna Week on Monday, starting from Alaphumi village. The resource person, Toshi Longkumer, chief technical officer, conducted a training programme on integrated pest management (IPM) for winter vegetables and mushroom cultivation, stated a press release. The programme was targeted at two women SHGs of the village, namely Nixaqhe SHG and Nilaghi SHG. A plant health camp was also held for the SHGs, focusing on insect pest management for winter vegetables. The programme concluded with the distribution of mushroom spawns, vegetable seeds, and biopesticides. Altogether, 22 farmwomen benefitted from the campaign.
DC Kiphire issues land acquisition notice
DIMAPUR — DC Kiphire Temsuwati Longkumer has notified the general public that the land from Km 176.00 to Km 190.00 and Km 241.00 to Km 283.00 under NH-202 is required for acquisition for the widening of the existing single-lane road to two lanes with a paved shoulder. Therefore, any person, party, or village with claims or objections within the said area in Kiphire district may submit the same to the office of the DC Kiphire within a period of 10 (ten) days.
