DIMAPUR — The NSCN/GPRN-R (Akato) has endorsed the recent public statement by the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) accusing one Nirmal Jain of land-related malpractice, warning that such activities threaten to undermine the long-standing coexistence between Nagas and non-Nagas in the state.

In a press release on Saturday, the group stated that the NSCN/GPRN-R (Akato) hails the recent exposure by DNSU “which has deeply shocked our government, for his outrageous conduct”.

It said that the Naga National Movement, founded on the principles of protecting and safeguarding the unique identity, land, and resources, cannot be held to ransom by people like Nirmal and a few corrupt officials.

According to NSCN/GPRN-R (Akato), their schemes will surely affect Naga posterity and also tarnish the image of the peaceful non-Naga community that has long coexisted with them in harmony and tranquillity.

The group lauded the “judiciousness of the DNSU” and warned that this may only be “the tip of an iceberg” and vowed to leave “no stone unturned” in investigating and exposing all those allegedly involved.

Asserting that it holds “numerous proofs” of the accusations, the organisation said that “the perpetrator Nirmal will not escape our radar and will have to pay the consequences,” and those found guilty would face consequences under the principles of the Naga National Movement.
